Midge Madness
Midges can appreciate art too ~ found this mass-o-midges on a Follow the Fish sign in Lorain.
For those of you who don't live on or near the lake, midges (aka muckleheads or muffleheads) are annoying little creatures that look like giant mosquitoes, but thankfully these guys don't bite.
Their purpose is to be food, mainly for birds, but they are also a good source of entertainment for Frank D. Cat who bats at them like a toy and then gets a shocked look on his face when he actually catches one. And unlike the birds, Frank is not a fan of the midges' culinary value.
